New scope/shooter ap

Rightio bare with me here.

After getting a new scope(Leica er 6.5x25)and mounting on the 0 Moa rail I am ready to start shooting confidently again.

The problem I face is this-The leica measures metrically or mills which is fine as having a building background I look at measurements metrically anyway.
I have set my leica rangefinder to meters ,no drama.
When I enter my data into the shooter ap it only has an option for yards when deciding how far ya want ya dope chart to reach.

So to me this is confusing as its giving me an imperial range and telling me a metric unit to compensate for.
Am I over thinking this?
Should I actually set my rangefinder back to yards?

My head hurts Cheesy

You need to go into the base page settings there are options to change the whole lot to metric.. you can also change it to metric and keep imperial for all other measurements such as speed data...
You need to also change the data in the settings for each rifle to match your scope..

Never fear the settings are there.. look harder..

yeah none of the ballistic apps out there are very smart. I havnt found one yet that you can mix and match units which is a pain when you run ballistics for friends guns in yds when I use m!.

You have to go into the setting and change the base units from yds to m and then all your rifle records change to same...PITA

Open the App.
Hold your finger on the desired firearm.....
When the box pops up select edit....
Then scroll down to the MOA/MIL and increment settings and change, then save in the top right corner.
Only changes the selected firearm, well on mine anyways  Roll Eyes

Tried to add pics but apparently photobucket wants $ now days to do that...

yep but that only changes the turret units. If you want to mix n match range in m and yds between different rifles your buggered!

The only ballistic app that handles that is the one I wrote! but I havnt got the skills or patients to migrate it to android.

Shooter on my iPad has the units of measure in the iPad settings, not on the app itself. Click on settings, find Shooter and it's under the units of measure heading (assuming you have iPhone or iPad).

And that inane arrangement was forced on the app developer by Apple. I have seen his disgruntled comment somewhere on the matter.

My two cents worth - reading this it seems possible to me that 'mills' in the first post refers to MIL(s) - if that is the case, then as you all know MIL and millimetres are not one and the same thing (although they can be indirectly related).

Sorry if I've just missed the bus here (and every one is already on the same page).
