If they just at least used deer repellant then most of the opposition to these type of operations would cease.
Some Battle for our Birds drops in the S.I have hit the deer badly.

If I were a suspicious person that was into conspiricy theories one could accuse doc of getting pissy over a certain court case they just lost. But I'm sure they would never lower themselves to that level  Roll Eyes

Start writing to doc guys and guestions as to why they are doing it, was told 2months back from a reliable source that there was no money to do it,so what's changed
Where are hunters going to be able to hunt ,doc,s hit all thr lower north island areas, all of this is going to became a safety issue, where everyone will try and target areas that's not being 1080

Any day now they are going to bomb Kiko Rd and the Kaipo and Oamaru valley. Probably two of the most popular areas in the Kaimanawas.

And even if they say deer repellant to be used, who really knows if this is happening? And at what level of repellant is used. I wouldn't believe anything these pricks say.

apparently the decisions about using repellent come from reccomendations from the collective views of the Game Animal Council and NZ Deerstalkers national office.

Jesus that's depressing news .
Regarding the private land they already have an intensive pest control programme in place so I wouldn't think they will be keen on getting it 1080ed .They also receive an income from hunters flying in there so they wont want to stuff that up. At least I hope that's the case!!

Depressing alright. How is 1080 going to work in the long term for becoming pest free? blanket every inch of the country every year?
