After trying a Ruger American 17HMR and having extraction and zeroing problem i went for a new Cogswell and Harrison. Amazing gun, tack driver at 100yrds.

Heres a link.

I just looked at their website and they do look very much like a CZ. Just like a Winchestor Wildcat is actually a Toz 78/10 (In fact Winchestor did not even bother taking the Toz branding off the side. they simply put Winchestor on the other side and hope that you dont turn it over....Perhaps these guys do the same with CZ......?

Yeah its a CZ re-branded. The box even had CZ blacked out in vivid and a Cogswell and Harrison sticker in its place.

Haha the droopage is the wide frame of the go pro.

Fair to say I'm pretty happy with it.

Cogswell and Harrison is a good old gunmakers name and Certus is the name first given to their rifles in 1900 . I have had an early Certus 22 and  certus 303Br with the forward bolt handle , Have a look at
https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=cogswell+and+harrison+certus&sa=X&espv=2&tbm=i...

I never fired the 303 as I considered the  action to be a bit dubious strength wise and there was nothing to stop the bolt if the lugs sheered off .

Thats a beast of an action on that. More pleased with the gun every weekend. Shoots like a dream. Shame the 17hmr ammo can let it down with split cases and the od hang fire.

Using Hornady ammo, but the choice is limited.
