Does anyone here have any experiences with getting a concession permit to land a private fixed wing on DOC airstrips? And how long it took to get the permit??

Been in many times, but not recently.. Used to contact DOC at Napier. The grass is a bit longer now than it used to be. Son was there last month. We were at at Tussock. Best to have a wheel dragger. Strip is short 600mtrs and at 3000 feet altitude, so you need pleanty of power and not much weight on take off, especially if wet. Not a problem in a 180, double flaps and go, but not a lot of weight. Any thing else smaller minimal weight on way home. Cool
