Im looking at either the 1250 or 2000 model. 1250 will be enough grunt unless a 2000 is on a good deal.
What are peoples experiences with them? The other option is a Vortex unit. I had some time with a Ranger 1000. It worked but wasnt exactly amazing in its functionality. I know Leica is the go to but santa is a bit tight..... Cheers.
A friend of mine has the Sig2000. I was hoping the extra money I spent getting the Zeiss PRF was going to be money well spent - but I'm not so sure....
The Sig looks pretty good.

Regarding scopes I´m satisfied with the Phillippines as a manufacturing country nowadays, though I believe that the Sig Tango 6 is made in Japan, (also uncertain about about the Whiskey 5, Philly or Japan ?)

I was interested in the sig sauer 2000 so i went to local store with my leica 1200 to compare. I spent 30mins outside comparing the 2 over various distances etc & found the new sig out performed my leica slightly in the distances I was restricted to in town. The reasons why I have just sold my leica & put the new sig sauer kilo 2000 on layby is it has Angle Compensation feature (a must for long range shooting) & ranges out to 2000y+ on reflective objects, 1200y on deer/tahr etc & 1500y on shrubbery/rocks etc. My leica 1200 could only manage 1200y reflective objects, 900y if I was lucky on deer/tahr etc & somewhere in between if I was lucky on shrubbery/rocks. For me my new purchase will be well worth the $1100 Also sig is German made & lifetime garrentee
I wouldn't bet my last dollar on the "german made"........

Just done some research on where it's made. Its German designed etc and assembled in Epping, New Hampshire, America. Best of both worlds for the money in my view. Once I've put it to plenty of use in the field etc I will post an honest review comparing to my previous Leica rangemaster 1200 CRF. Happy hunting. Cheers
Hey guys, I've used the 2000 and the 2400, my hunting and shooting buddy has a Leica 1200b and my Sig is very comparable. Super fast and easily ranges to 1000 on deer sized targets. No issues ranging to 1300yds on hills etc. I can pick up a used Sig here in the states for just over $300, well worth the investment!

I am aware of a testing programme just completed in Europe. The result is that Kilo 2000 will be the choice for a defence force and involves 2500 units alongside a Kestral 5700 elite with LINK. As I understand it. the Kilo 2000 gave 95% of the performance of a Vectronix PLRF25C at ranges it was capable of resolving at less than half the cost. It proved as rugged and reliable in the torture and endurance testing as well as giving extremely good results with battery life.
I note I found interesting was that response time ( time from hitting the on switch to a ballistic solution being available) matched Vectronix and Kestral. This surprised me.
Sig ( Headspace alluded to this) is essentially German but has a major USA manufacturing division. The traditional result of such arrangements ( HK, FN, Kahles, Swarovski etc) is a reduced performance for the USA product vs Euro product.
Everything I am hearing suggests that the entire line of Sig optics/ LRF is really well worth considering.
I would say that ( I have not yet had the chance to try this personally) base don price/ ability/ performance/ speed that the 2400 model would be an extremely competent and value for money buy given the AB/ incline and weather feature built in reducing the need for buying separately and weight/ space fiddling reduction etc.
