We've just been generously offered a Bark River knife valued at $200.00 to offer as a prize in a raffle for those forum members who donate to the Foundation judicial review.
here's a pic of the prize.
If you want to donate to the foundation, go to the donation registration form at the link below and make sure you tick the check box that says "FishnHunt member?"
Make sure you put your email and name in the form as well.
The kiwibank donation account number is on the form. Don't forget to fill the form out AND then do the deposit online to kiwibank
Competition closes on 31 August 2016. The raffle is open only to FishnHunt members The draw will be done by LNIRDF chairman, Gordon George
forum members that donated prior to this raffle being set up, can be included in the draw. If you didn't show your forum login name in the online form, you will have to PM me, and your name will be added to the draw. all a bit messy, but cant think of another way to sort it.
For those that are interested. There was an earlier query on here asked if how funding was progressing The Lower North Island Red Deer Foundation have raised approx. $13,000 towards funding the Judicial review of DOCs last WARO permitting, of the Lower North island forest parks. We expect to have to raise another $12,000 approx. Additionally, The Lower NI clubs have contributed to the legal fees, as has Natex NZDA
This is a precedent setting challenge that will benefit hunters nationally re the WARO concession process, and DOCs obligations to consult and also justify their decisions regarding WARO
Many thanks to everyone here who has contributed already. &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
PS, once the Foundation gets a few things sorted, there will be opportunity for hunters to become members of the foundation

This is fantastic work. Every hunter who feels frustrated and powerless against unilateral decisions being made by DOC should support this with a bit of a donation.
It only takes a little donation from a lot of people to make a big difference.
Too often we enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.......

Spot on BC, i think a lot of us feel this way, 'like how do we do something about this' so it's bloody good to be able to contribute even a little bit to something actually legitimate / doing something about it. Keep it up guys, and look foward to more updates. Cheers

+1 my sentiments exactly. And thanks Derek and committee for the efforts to date - exemplary - hunters becoming unified = shocking concept for DOC to ponder = might influence them to be a bit more honest in their general treatment of us and in their policy-writing.

C'mon all you hunters, chuck in a few dollars to help clarify the value, to the recreational hunting public , of our big game on public land. I'll never have to go hunting there myself, but I've donated twice, and I'm a pensioner. So chip in everybody and let's see what the outcome is.
