Got bombed 2 weeks ago. Check DOC's pesticide summary. Graf boys went and filmed a small area 8 dead deer found in a small area and 1 possum. Another great Ospri operation.

Still plenty of animals about despite the drop.
Carcass search recently (post toxic) was bumping into Alot more live animals than dead ones through out length of the main Hauhangaroa  range.

Cheers, thats interesting. How long would you need to leave it before its safe to shoot and eat an animal from a 1080'd area??

had a conversation with a bloke after the last drop  a few years ago he was telling me of a certain  DOC  ranger that was harvesting deer in there contradictory to the warning signs which i think say 8 months? i will be going down in spring ..... to setup cameras and hatch a plan for a little bit later.....

its not illegal to take game from an area treated with poison., for own consumption
Its only a warning.
conversely, game meat - venison cant be sold if taken within 2kms, (I think) of a treated area, or some such
