As mainly a meat hunter I didn't think about taxidermy much until I did a trip to Wyoming last year. I shot an ok elk

Looks pretty impressive already Cam. I really enjoy reading your hunt reports, I think meeting someone in the scrub brings more interest in seeing their adventures, the same as meeting people on forum hunts, get togethers etc.

Hi cb14, mount looks nice. Be interesting to know how much the cost is to ship back to NZ? I was in Utah a few years back and shot a 6 x 6 Bull Elk but I bought the antlers and headskin back with me upon my return home. At the time it was a cheaper option to do this and got Vern and Louise Pearson to do the mount which looks impressive.

Thanks for the comments guys. The shipping price I got was about $1500 for the crate. Cheaper to get the taxi done here but I wanted it done by my mate in the USA. I reckon he did an amazing job. Any chance of a pic Alan?

Wow! The elk looks great. Similar form to mine by the looks. Your other trophies are outstanding! Give me 10 years and I'll catch up haha
