Great "mission statement" and good to see someone prepared to push back at the bureaucrats.  I'm in upper NI, but have donated $25.

I'll make a donation.† But I tried the link and got this error message - Form not found! Sorry, the form you are looking for no longer exists.

+1

This Time! Got it sorted and $ deposited Derrick - good work mate - hope this helps  Wink I want to be able to take my grandson hunting these places in a few short years time - I want to know there are some deer there and that access is unfettered and the waterways and tracks are not full of green pellets.

Will donate.

As an aside, it puzzles me that the likes of the (major?) equipment distributors and retailers don't seem to be active in either financial support, or advocacy? Given the likes of the Hunting and Fishing chain of franchises rely heavily on the hunting fraternity for their livelihood I would have expected to see and hear more from them on issues like this?† Huh

Sadly they are just there to take the money. Anyone who rips off other NZ companies designs isn't there to make friends or help out....
Some of the other companies are sort of in bed with DoC so won't take a stance on much either.
Funding needs to come from us but donations always dry off over a short time, need a more reliable system.

Have any of said companies actually been approached regarding this? and maybe helping out. You would think there would be atleast one taker out of how many there is, bit disappointing if that's the case Sad
swazi, ridgeline, stoney creek, hunters element, huntech, bc cuisine, etc etc would be chump change probably for those guys to help out.

Anyway, making my donation now, shit if i had won that lotto the other week i'd give you guys the whole amount you need. Live in the Waikato but have hunted, and hope to continue to hunt the Ruahine ranges area.
Keep us posted with what's happening, cheers Smiley

Made my donation today.
It is heartening to see that we still have positive proactive people in this world who will fight and work out ways to be proactive in solving problems.  Hopefully a small investment in protecting our future.
I watch with interest.

Things are progressing slowly, Bushwanderer

The court hearing is in early December. cant remember that date.

So far about $13,000 has been raised, which includes a contribution from NZDA head Office. (and also a significant donation from the Bay of Plenty branch of NZDA)

Lot more costs will be incurred soon, leading up to the court day and also that process as well.

Parallel to this, we have been having positive discussions with DOC, the WARO industry, NZDA Natex and the Game Animal Council about future game management of deer in the Ruahines

Details for bank account number etc are here
