Nice one and some nice country for bow stalking. Good on you for getting out there. Enjoy some goat curry now Smiley

Genesis 27:3 Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

Goats are probably one of the best to hone your skills on.... Smaller targets so your accuracy needs to be on. Animal choice is important for meat so it forces you to slow down, pick your taget, pick the spot and shoot.

Stalking is fun, the herd thing can make it tough but if you have your wind and sight lines and cover sorted then yuo'll be good.

Also reinforces your back drop too..... after loosing a few $$ arrows for the sake of a goat you learn to be careful Wink

Theyre also perfect to learn how to dress and process meat (the carry out is easier too). Don't forget to check the internals for nasties, a very good habbit to get into.... hate to get brain worms or something Wink

Thanks Dicko, Was a great day out and always good to get some meat.

Wife has been busy making a couple of nice Pies and curries, with a couple of roasts still in the freezer.

If Anyone has any blocks/land and they would be happy to give me access to hunt please pm me. Would love to get a pig next.

A few pics of what the wifey has made: (Not the best Pictures)

Really appreciate the help and feedback.

Any more takers? I counted 32 on one hillside this afternoon and could hear more calling in the bush. At this rate I'm going to have to get the rifle out.
