Cannon?

Hi all,

A guy I work with is after a ... cannon. Just one of those little saluting types that you see at military open days and the like. Ie, a muzzle loading reproduction cannon in about 1" calibre.

I guess it is fireable.

And I assume he'd need an A category licence to get one??

† † (a) means anything from which any shot, bullet, missile, or other projectile can be discharged by force of explosive; and

† † (b) includesó

† †† †† (i) anything that has been adapted so that it can be used to discharge a shot, bullet, missile, or other projectile by force of explosive;

Yup, its a gun. Just rubbish to take hunting!

Yep Just an A licence , have a look at http://www.militaria.co.nz/AuctionCatalogue.html there may be somthing there . A lot of those cannons in the AAA web site were probably made by Trevor Marshall in AK , he is in a few of the pics , ships cannon are cheaper to buy because they do not have the intricate wheels and trail that the artillery pieces have .. He usually has a display at the AK gun shows , run by Tony Daw 021951932  is the last phone no I have for him , maybe he can help .

Shooting is the most fun you can legally have with your clothes on .
