Wow, this is some awesome inspiration. What is the bow season typically in the US? I'm heading over to vegas in July, so I've been thinking of taking the bow along....
September. Not a lot of hunting in the US during July that I know of, may be bear Can you delay your trip

It's not easy to plan and do even if you live here, so we'll done for working it out and then getting your shots. A superb effort.

Very very cool, Now I understand, Amazing to see your bow hunting results Cam, I looked at getting into Bow hunting, but I seem to struggle being left handed and unco-ordinated, never mind my now even more clumsy attempts at bush stalking.

Cheers Ice. I found archery a bit of a challenge initially but really enjoy the regular bow practice.

I'm not sure how tall he is. I'll measure him tonight and let you know. I guess you just measure from the base to tip?

Kinda. Start at base near the eye. Measure up to the fork and then up and around to the point staying on the outside of the antler. I found a link. Check out post #11. Measure the white line.
http://onyourownadventures.com/hunttalk/showthread.php?239425-Antelope-Length-me... Anything over 13" and better are nice animals for bow. Anything over 15" is very nice and over 16" is excellent. they don't get real big in my region. Top out around 15 to 16" with the very rare 17". In some parts of Montana and New Mexico, an average goat might be 15" with 16" good and 17-18" excellent. Thinking yours might be 14.5" if were to guess. Looks tall in that picture.
My numbers are in inches but CM works too. Use a string if you don't have a thin metal tape measure.
