We have shot a few recently.
This one I shot in the open last night and thought I had missed because I could only see its neck and head right on dark, but went over to check (236 yds). I walked up a bushy gully edge and Tilly picked up where it had come out from being bedded for the day and back tracked it. I followed her ground scenting with the wind and she went straight to it.
About a 100 yard back track. She barked when she found it.

A couple more.

This one she indicated and I shot at 60 yards.

This one she winded down in a gully and I eventually spotted it in the scrub at 275 yards and shot it. As can be seen in the pic she was more interested in where it had been in the gully than posing for pics. She new something, because half way through gutting the deer another one came trotting out. Probably looking for its lately deceased mate.

Is it just the photo, Tilly looks about the same size as that deer.
Anyway both of you did well.
