How's the dog getting around on the hill? Kinda hoping to keep my bitch running post 10 years.
Cheers, Dan
She's slowing up Dan. The big several day hunts knock her and it takes her a couple of days to recover. She's tough though. I just had 3 days straight and she was knackered, and then went into the Haurangis for a night and left her behind at home to recover. It was strange not having her with me, but I guess if I look after her she might last a bit longer. I'm hoping for another couple of years from her (and me .

it possibly works in your favour her slowing up..... you wont have to work so hard to keep her in close. give the lass a pat from me please bud. if my Meg is still going at 11 I will be stoked.

Well the roar is over. We shot a few together. Tilly seemed to enjoy all of the outings as much as I did, and she did a lot of sleeping in between. We have shot 132 deer together now - that's not counting the 100 or so other people have shot with us.
Tallies shouldn't be important, but its a measure of how a good dog increases your strike rate and recoveries. And she sure does that.
