Just a heads up consultation process is underway and to sign up to be involved in the process. Have a say and do the survey as this directly affects us as hunters in these areas and NZ as a whole.
The CMS: •identifies how to manage places to achieve national conservation outcomes •aligns with DOC’s strategic direction to clarify priorities for managing conservation resources •guides decision making, eg on applications to undertake commercial activities and for our own purposes •guides where recreational activity can occur •describes conservation outcomes to be achieved through milestones and actions •provides the basis for reporting to conservation boards.
good stuff Kooza. these are very important documents to have a say in guys. these are what DOC use to manage the conservation estate by, the rules if you like. have your say!

If you don't have your say, don't expect DOC to change anything
AND challenge any decision you see as ill founded. Whilst they must consider your submission there is nothing to make them accept your arguments. Sometimes a minority view expressed is the right one! Conversely, sometimes the most popular option is the wrong one for the long term well being of our environment.

Sweet as, Just trying to get the word out before it's too late. Hard to change things Later on, I would strongly recommend everyone to spare 5 mins and have a say.
I would hope the 600 odd viewers at this stage have all signed up and have completed the survey
