Otago and Canterbury CMS's Policy Documents

Hi DoC,

I notice that the Otago and Canterbury Draft CMS's were drafted to include AATH as a both recreational and comemercial activity.

Does this definition written by DoC for AATH fall within the definitions of hunting provided in the 2005 General Policy and the National Parks Policy documents ?

If so how ?

Both documents appear to define hunting but exclude AATH, what are your thoughts on this?

The 2 people to write AATH into the CMS's were the respective Conservators.

Were they told to include AATH ?

If so by who?

Is it safe enough to assume that if DOC wanted AATH included in the policy documents then they would have re-wriiten the policy documents to include AATH.

Is this likely if so under whose instructions?

Thanks for your consideration DoC
