That 210 lb is a beauty. Very few boars around that size in Nelson area Nelson Hunter. Well done to the dogs for stopping it.

yea wish we hadn't run into him he would have been 4 to 5 years old, had 6 dogs on him,the guys that hunt with 2 0r 3 dogs would have run in to trouble on this one

Couple of awesum pigs there. Good effort Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley   Have to say thou if the guys running 2 to 3 dogs have good hard bailers they prob not have that much trouble in stopping pigs of that size.
The guys i used to do lots of pighunting with in the nelson region always ran only 2 or 3 good bailers, we caught plenty of big boars with them over the years. Boars over 150il plus were happy to stand there and fight a couple of dogs standing off, whole different story if you using holders thou.
They wouldnt hang around and a couple of holders wont often contain a boar of 180lb in the gorse, just get a hiding and thats the end of that.
Two or three hard bailers thou and you prob get it if they any good Smiley
