rifleman squad tararuas??

completed 4 day tramp in the tararuas  this cristmas and found sort of a stash along the way it ,was  a fairly large one with lock up boxes that had rifleman squad written all over it now I never tamperd with it took anything its not my style im more just curious as to who they may be is it the army sar oreintering its driving me insane anyone shed some light?

there was no black bags.stash is near a campsite theres 2 blue pvc boxes and a black one chained together ther about the size of a med chest freezer theres another one 30 meters away not locked theres a large chilly bin with no beers Cry and 3 or 4 plastic dixy bins with hammer spare shoes gas cooker never looked into the other two.they had to be chopperd in there

They set up game cameras. Every time a man with a rifle walks past they add one to there list. If it looks like there are too many rifle - men they drop 1080 on the area to ruin the pricks fun.

Embarrassedyou had me going there porkchop it wouldn't surprise me with doc.
that explains a bit more I also saw random tags on trees they were noted with numbers and channels they must have a lot of gear in those boxes.nice little bird

They (doc) were doing rifleman surveys up cone ridge near the old xix track i believe? this is a few years ago and i think their base was near cone hut. But of course they have to waste plenty of money on the survey and wonder why theres bugger all about after they 1080 the joint  Roll Eyes
