At the price of the knives I might even have a go myself. Not too much if I end up munting it. How about Rimu or Kauri ?

Yep both would look good. Rimu is a harder wood with finer grain i would try that first

Mr S, I believe you're misleading us with false advertising... There is no way this knife is now worth $16!!

Great job by with way. I have some Jarrah drying out, it's an old fence post, that I intend to see what I can do with it for some scales once work settles down enough for me to get back into it.

Great thread, love the look of the Casuarina, theres a bit of it round here used in shelterbelts.
