Forum Hunter Safety Banner Advertising Competition.
May 1st, 2012 at 12:13am
Print Post
I'm thinking we need a series of banners promoting safe hunting running all the time on the forum so I would like members to design up some banners so that we can pick those that have a positive message and then Ill run them amongst the banner program.
By having several of them promoting different messages, such as "Identify Your Target" - "Head torches look like a deers eyes" etc etc we can rotate them and the message will not go stale.
I also suggest we have three types so they appear all over the forum.
So here is the challenge.
1. A series of hunter safety banners 728x90
2. A series of Hunter safety banners  468x100
3. A series of hunter safety banners  180x300
upload them here for us to all have our say  Grin Grin as we do!! and what are considered to be the ones that sell the message effectively will be used.

This also has another effect of showing the public we actually do care and are taking a responsible line.

Cheers
Alan
PS Ill change the file types allowed to be uploaded to .jpg and .gif as well as pdf.... animated banners are also acceptable.

I look forward to getting some of these underway. We get thousands of visitors every day who are not members so it is a good chance to maybe influence some non aligned hunters.

Gosh just the kudos for designing safety banners and the thought it might save someones life...maybe a forum member!  That should be enough reward for anyone...

I do like a couple of them and would like to put them into the banner program now...

I like these, the spotlight one is especially poignant.

Time to go national?

Any interest in taking a few banners to Inspector Joe Green, Police manager for firearms control? Providing him and the New Zealand police free access to the banners to place in police stations, add to information handed to new firearm licence holders? Convert to bump stickers to hand out? Add to their own website?
A hunter safety campaign is over due really.

I think the audience needs to be larger than the forum and while I acknowledge Alan's role is this I don't think the forum name should be applied. It's about increasing hunter safety and influencing for the better hunter practices. It benefits all and can further the forum's altruistic contribution to the sport without the need for acknowledgement.

Theres no message linking the picture to the writing.. if thats what you are asking. The image in the background is a deers eye and ear as it looks around a tree, i ended up cutting most of the ear out to fit into the size requested, but could change it easily

I also reckon a good one would be a bush shot of a hunter lined up at colour or something and then a peel back of the bush a bit to show a human...   so there's an idea for someone...

Do you need it set up in HTML for you to then upload to the server? I can arrange that. Would it display as a link/sticky?

Sweet, early next week mate if that suits, our engagement party tomorrow! No hunting this weekend though...

Cheers,

Would sound better if it said "mistakes".

'mistake' doesn't sound right.  Or "A mistake can be fatal".
Excellent banner though!

Combine them. "Wear your lifejacket when spotlighting safely".
