There is no such thing as a "metric" mile. There IS one kilometer, which is one thousand meters. One meter is 39.4 inches, making one kilometer 3,283 feet four inches. One mile is 5280 feet

Gosh just the kudos for designing safety banners and the thought it might save someones life...maybe a forum member! That should be enough reward for anyone...

I do like a couple of them and would like to put them into the banner program now...

That'll be good. A HUGE banner naming the winner as a saviour of hunters.  Grin and a free hunt on DOC Land. Roll Eyes

Not worried, its not part of the competition, just put it there to get peoples attention..

I like these, the spotlight one is especially poignant.

Time to go national?

Any interest in taking a few banners to Inspector Joe Green, Police manager for firearms control? Providing him and the New Zealand police free access to the banners to place in police stations, add to information handed to new firearm licence holders? Convert to bump stickers to hand out? Add to their own website?
A hunter safety campaign is over due really.

I think the audience needs to be larger than the forum and while I acknowledge Alan's role is this I don't think the forum name should be applied. It's about increasing hunter safety and influencing for the better hunter practices. It benefits all and can further the forum's altruistic contribution to the sport without the need for acknowledgement.
