just been shopping around for a new tent, am thinking of getting a northstar tent from katmandu, anyone got any info on them regarding quality? wanna take it too fiordland also so wanna know its gonna hold up to conditions down there.

Kathmandu get sh*t for the prices and quality, but my Northstar handled the 110km/h winds and horizontal rain in the Northern Raukumaras last week.

Of course I only bought it at 50% off plus member discount of 10% on top of that.  Wink

had mine in southwestland,  one of the alloy poles bent in the wind, and one split at mount cook last night,  but for the money there alright, just get a msr or something that you know is good quality
