The pig had been hanging on the fence over night and rigour had well and truly taken hold.

I considered this caption for the pic: "After we posed for the photo, i took ten paces back and shot it"   Grin.

How ever it was almost that simple, as i was closing the gap on another pig, this one and his mate came running to me like i was standing next to a dead cow  Wink They were obliging enough to stop under a stand of trees so i had the opportunity to close the gap to under 20m and wait for one to present a good target, after a minute or two he turned side on and i put an arrow behind his shoulder and took out both lungs. He gave a quick squeel and used the last of his adrenalin to make a mad dash out of sight.
Luckily the guys were sitting at the top of the hill watching it all unfold and came down to give me directions where he headed to and stopped  Cool.

Haha at least I wasnt the only one thinking it was still alive! I had to have a closer look but still thought it was alive until you said it had rigor mortis. I initially thought it was a pet pig Grin
Congrats for the first kill with the bow! Much more satisfying knowing youve stalked them in their own environment! Cool

Even his "pet" pigs won't stand still enough for a pic like that. Ask anyone who was at the bowhunt last year.  Wink Grin

Nice work Sav, that'll be nice on the christmas table with an apple in it's mouth.  Cool
