North Island chronograph available to members
Aug 17th, 2010 at 3:04am
Print Post
There are now chronographs available to members. This thread is for the North Island chronograph.

The rules will be outlined below. These chronographs have been organised through the generosity of forum members, in particular Huntfish and X-POACHER.

Rule 1
You shoot a hole through any part other the the right part and f@#k it you will be buying a new one. If a functioning chrony in one original piece turns up at your house, then an identical one leaves your house.

Rule 2
Each person can have it for ten days, which should get you at least one weekend. You can shoot over a chrony in any weather.

Rule 3
Muzzle velocities only (no shooting at 100m!). Ties in closely to Rule 1.

Rule 4
You pay freight to the next person. That means if its your neighbour and you walk over there, its nothing.
Chronographs must stay in the island they originated in, ie the North Island one does not get sent to the South Island and vice versa.
The Forum Guides have the final say in who qualifies.

Rule 5
Chronys are to be sent to or borrowed by forum members only who have a couple of months' membership and 50 post minimum required to go on the list (someone has to know who you are, and someone will know where you live). If it doesn't re-appear, in the South Island Crzyman will pull your arms off. In the North Island Iceman will come get you. If you haven't seen the thread on what he does to you after he fights you then its worth a look. Who knows, some of you might like it.

Rule 6
Its your responsibility to sort out, by PM or email with the next person a postal address etc. If theres no contact and the postal date rolls around (ie. your ten days is up), send it to the next person down.

Members are required to record the name and address details of the person receiving the chrony somewhere other than their PM inbox.

Names and dates are to go below here.

What a great resource.

The rules are pretty straight forward and common sense so I would like to use it after Phillipo if possible.

Thanks.
Scott.

Hi All, Have just spoken to Antsman by phone - It was I who had borrowed the  N I chroney from him. I have appologised to him, and do so to you all now as well. I was waiting for a PM from him, and he no longer had my contact details,so through a misunderstanding it has been sitting here longer than it should have. Today I opened the thread and saw what had been posted, so took it back to his place immediately- he was out, so I have just phoned him now. I have offered to purchase the Chroney he bought - but he wishes to keep it. So once again - humble appologies to all - sorry for the inconvenience I have caused.   Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

All's well that ends well, Ant got "fined" the price of a s/hand chrony, for not keeping track of the forum one. At least you have your own chrony now Ant. Grin  Mauserman, at least you have restored ( partly ) our trust in human nature, and other Forum members.  Smiley
OK guys make use of the N.I. chrony that's why I  donated it, along with Digit's generous discount. To coin a phrase , "use it - don't lose it"  Wink Grin

Get as close as you can, then get a bit closer.
