Well, I should be able to come up with a fair comparison, I have almost a solid year accumulated living in an Olympus. In a sulk over the changes to the Olympus from the old design I bought a Sirius 2. However, the more I look at the Sirius, the less I like it. Its actually done a bit of work and has performed well. But...I have real trouble pitching it without there being a sag around the strange box section in the back. This may be my fault but to me, the big square area over it is going to collapse in any amount of snow, and the big unsupported section in the centre of the tunnel between the two poles wont handle wind well. This is despite the fact its seen a bit of wind while Iv owned it and been fine. I just dont feel confident about taking it west.
Does anyone else who owns a Sirius 2 know how to pitch it so theres less sag and folds around the two short poles at the back? Im thinking of modifying it to take an extra pole in the centre.
On a whim, and mostly due to the current sale, I bought an Olympus yesterday. Sorry bank account . Interested to see what it looks like pitched. The last model I used was three seasons ago. This one seems very light.

around 7-800 grams difference in the two. I just went and bought a minaret, allready have a plateau so wanted the lighter version to make the 2 different enought to warrant having them both

Bought an Olympus a year ago and absolutely love it . With stands winds and rain no bother (130km lake Tennyson ) Haven't tried it in the white stuff yet though. No trouble to hump day in and out. Bags of room. Go the Macpac!!
