If you want someone to take you for a hunt
May 7th, 2010 at 9:40am

If you are one of the many people who has just joined this forum and want someone to take you for a hunt then this thread is for you.

This forum is full of generous hunters only too willing to oblige when a new member wants someone to take them under their wing and take them out for a hunt, whether they be NZ hunters or from overseas.

However, most members are very wary of meeting people that they do not know, let alone take them hunting with firearms, so regardless of where you are from it increases your chances significantly if you take the time to read the forum, introduce yourself, post some photos of any hunting that you have done and contribute for a while in order that others may get to know you.

If you are an overseas hunter and in a position to do so, then it helps if you can offer to swap a hunt and introduce someone to hunting in your own country. If you are unable to do this then try and think of another way to make a contribution in return. This way you won't be viewed as only wanting a cheap Kiwi hunting holiday.

NZ hunters can also return favours by offering to take others hunting, or even fishing, in areas you are familiar with.

One final word: if you are lucky enough to be taken on a hunt then be sure to post up a report afterwards with some photos.

As Aunty said, "post a story, share a laugh, return a favour from your side of the world, and this lot will be as happy as pigs in shit".

Dear Noah,
We could have sworn you said the ark wasn't leaving till 5.
Sincerely, Unicorns
