Not having a tumbler, I've looked around and researched a few methods of cleaning brass prior to reloading. Simple, fast and cheap method!
Bowl of boiling water + Simple Green + Brass Soak & stir for approx 1min Remove brass and add to bowl of undiluted White Vinegar Soak & stir for approx 1min Rince brass in warm water Return brass to Simple Green solution Soak & stir for approx 1min Bowl of clean boiling water You guessed it, S&S 4 60seconds
Now for the dodgy part.... Place brass on oven tray in oven on high for 3-5mins
You might have some other method of safely drying, but I've not had anything go up in the oven yet! Touch wood.
Brass comes up real nice and shiny.

I just found this thread . My mate put 200 270 once fired brass in a low oven with the door open , His wife turned up the oven and closed the door , they got 20 mins of heat and were stuffed , so leave the door open so there is air movement or better still if you have a hot water cupbord put them in there for a day or so

Brasso is the best brass polish. You wipe it on with a rag and wipe off with another. Not too expensive but the results are amazing!Check out the 22mm shell and 50cal.

Just tried this. It works a treat! One difference though...
The oven is in use at the moment (mmmmm... food), so I am drying the cases out in the sun. They got a few additional rinses in hot water, so they should dry off nicely.

What ratio of simple green - boiling water did you guys use? I tried 1-5, most of the casses still have dark necks, thinking next time perhaps 1-1 is more suitable .
and get what you've always got.

Spanners just tumbled some for me, he was a bit concerned as a few of the cases looked a bit "funny" so just o be on the safe side was was disected, I suspected they might of been the tracer rounds thru the short trak, Im glad it did leave a mark, they be the ones to get full sized
Ive heard simple green is good for carbon, could be the ingredient in carbon killer 2000....hmm cheap bore cleaner?
