Probably been done before but post your Hunting Hiltons you have built or found here, please respect other peoples work and do not reveal there locations. I will get things rolling with something that we built 16 years ago, photos are old so quality not too good, biv is still in good condition Carry some gear in. Start the build Fit the inside out. Finish! mud from foot traffic soon settles down, 1st attempt at a door.

….The hunter ordinarily has no gallery to applaude or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his act, they are dictated by his own conscience, rather than by a mob of onlookers….
What happens to all these play forts that people build in the bush when they cant be bothered with them. They are an ugly eye sore now and when they get into a bit of disrepair most people just walk away. Whats wrong with the old saying take only photos leave only footprints. How about keeping our bush in as pristine condition as we can. Take a tent and stop ruining our wild places if you want to build a play fort build it on your own land.

Three different tramping clubs now use this hut (they spay the shit out of the track with paint when they go in). Doc have used it numerous times as a base when poising. We have revived a letter from a bloke who crawled his way Into the hut who had been lost and with out food in very bad weather, we always leave a spar sleeping bag, food in cabnet and cooking gear. That hut and Sapir gear saved his life. This is the hut in post above

Tramper The thing that happens to these huts in remote parts of the bush is generally most people respect and appreciated the efforts it has taken to build. Like Hayds said is saved someone's life. All these huts and bivis that have been built generally stay with family generations or friends who love there hunting and will maintain the huts.
