Hi. My name is Dave. My hunting-fishing partner and I and our wives will be arriving in Auckland April 3, 1998 for about a months stay. We plan on renting 2 camper type vehicles and would like some info on fishing and hunting on both islands. We live in Western Montana and hunt and fish whenever we can.Would like to knwo best areas for trout and salmon and if it is possible to hunt Red Deer without a guide.Is it normal for land owners to give hunting permission to those who ask? Same with fishing?
