Hi, I am a young Danish hunter who is going to spent four weeks hunting on the South Island starting from the 5th of January 2000. At the moment I haven’t any plans when I arrive to the airport in Christchurch, but I am open to all suggestions. Does anybody know some good hunting locations, some nice people I can visit or just have some tips about hunting and outdoor living in New Zealand? I have a cal. .30-06, a cal. .22 long and a normal o/u shotgun, and I am interested in all spices. The only problem is that I haven’t that big a bank account, but a good tent, boots and sleeping bag, and I love to live outside away from the civilisation.
