Couldn`t agree with you more Greg, problem is that DOC are so warped that if you do shoot a couple of deer and put it in your kill return they are just as liable to say "uh there must be a few deer in there lets do a 1080 drop!!" Personally I do fill in my kill returns and as far as poaching is concerned I`ve never heard of anybody losing their licence for it, If the man was hunting on National Park land and came across people hunting there without permits, this hardly constitutes poaching, if it was private land or a balloted block it would be poaching, I know it`s law to have a permit but it`s also law not to speed in your car which means don`t do 51 km in a 50km zone no one keeps it, Maybe a lack of success that day annoyed our friend but I would say the real serious poachers doing the most damage are Choppers and DOC (DOC uses them when it`s convenient believe me, all very hush hush too)and of coarse 1080
